Hello Santee!

This week I sat down with my favorite person who previously held my job (and the person who hired me at the Santee Chamber), John Olsen. John is a Santee guy through and through, and in fact, often referred to as THE Santee Guy! He has a fun podcast now entering its fifth season where he sits down with business owners, community leaders, elected officials and friends alike. I was lucky enough to have a small “residency” as co-host with him when he kicked it off years ago but now am humbly honored to be a guest from time to time. John has a gift for gab (so a podcast is perfect for him) but better than that, he has a gift for knowing our community. He’s a connector and a collaborator on mostly everything he does, always understanding how hearing about one thing can enhance another and instantly knowing who to introduce for it to get done: the tell-tale sign of a true chamber person. Now well into his career as a real estate agent, John uses he knack-for-knowing on a more personal level and assists people with some of the happiest and sometimes the hardest times in their lives as they buy and sell properties. John has been a champion for our chamber since working for us and now being back on the membership side, and I am glad to call him my friend.
