Santee Chamber Committees 

1. Awards Night Committee – Chair: Eddie Vandiver, Sportsplex USA
   1. Description: An annual celebration for Chamber Members, Business Leaders and Elected Officials to come together for Santee’s Favorites contest winners and other business recognitions. {Event Date: Thursday 02/21/2019}
   2. Meetings: Second Thursday of the month at 11:30am (dark April-August)
2. Executive Committee – Chair: Bobbie Jo Lewis, Walmart
   1. Description: Group of annual officers of the Board of Directors to meet under special circumstances and make suggestions to the entire Board.
   2. Meetings: Quarterly on Second Friday of the month at 11:30am in January, April, July & October
3. Government Affairs Committee – Chair: Barbara Ryan, Santee School District   
   1. Description: Receipt and distribution of reports from representatives of elected officials, review of potential impact on businesses, and recommendation of action, if any, to the Chamber Board of Directors.
   2. Meetings: Third Monday of the month at 8:30am, excluding holidays when it switches to fourth Monday
4. Local Heroes Luncheon – Chair: Kristine Costa, Waste Management
   1. Description: A gathering of Santee organizations, Community Leaders, and Elected Officials to receive local honors and announce Santee Chamber’s “Person of the Year”. {Event Date: Thursday 3/29/2019}
   2. Meetings: Fourth Tuesday of the month at 12:00pm (dark May-August & December)
5. San-Tee Golf Tournament – Chair: Kristopher Shannon, Edwards Jones Financial
   1. Description: A day at Santee’s exclusive golf course to encourage business relationships and interact with local sponsors as they highlight their services on the green. {Event Date: Friday 11/08/2019}
   2. Meetings: Last Wednesday of the month at 12:00pm (dark in December)
6. Santee Community Forum & Political Task Force – Chair: TBD
   1. Description: A public event alternating each year to offer information to businesses and residents on candidates running for local office or a two-year forecast for our region. {Event Date: Thursday 9/26/2019}
   2. Meetings: Quarterly after Government Affairs meetings in January, April, July and October.
7. Santee Street Fair Committee – Chair: Tim Staump, Staump Music School 
   1. Description: The ultimate one-day block party over Memorial Day weekend which is free to the public and has fun for the whole family with our food, beer, rides and vendors. {Event Date: Saturday 05/25/2019}
   2. Meetings: First Friday of the month at 3:00pm (dark July-September)
8. Santee Young Professionals Committee – Chair: Dustin Trotter, TDT Construction
   1. Description: A platform to develop, empower and engage San Diego's next generation of young business leaders and entrepreneurs through education, community service, and networking.
   2. Meetings: Fourth Friday of the month at 9:30am (dark in December)
9. Taste of Santee Committee – Chair: Laura Koval, Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve
   1. Description: An evening of outdoor dining at Santee Lakes with an opportunity to taste over two dozen of the area’s premier food and beverage establishments. {Event Date: 12/05/2019}
   1. Meetings: First Monday of the month at 11:00am (dark August-October)
10. The Santee Magazine Committee – Chair: Melissa Dombo, Raceway Electric
    1. Description: Creates, reviews and publishes annual magazines on a quarterly basis to provide a platform for relevant business and residential news to the homes and businesses of Santee.
    2. Meetings: Alternating Tuesdays at 11:30am as needed
