9th Annual East County Manufacturing Expo Showcases Innovation, Career Opportunities, and Support for Reentry Programs

East County Economic Development Council to Host 9th Annual East County Manufacturing Expo in Collaboration with Cuyamaca College.
El Cajon, CA, September 26, 2024 – The East County Economic Development Council, in collaboration with the National Creators Wanted Campaign, and in partnership with Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District, is proud to present the 9th Annual East County Manufacturing Expo at Cuyamaca College in El Cajon, California. This event will bring together community leaders, elected officials, educators, and local manufacturers to celebrate and highlight the importance of manufacturing in the region.

- Location: Cuyamaca College, El Cajon, CA
- Event Highlights: Community and Government Support: Elected officials, education leaders, and community representatives will attend to underscore the vital role manufacturing plays in creating jobs and driving the local economy.
- Diverse Attendees: More than 1,000 participants are expected, including high school and college students, job seekers, reentry program participants, and community members from across San Diego County.
- Reentry and Justice-Involved Programs: The expo will welcome individuals from various reentry and justice-involved programs, offering them the chance to explore stable career opportunities in manufacturing. These programs are crucial for reintegrating justice-involved individuals into the workforce and empowering them through meaningful employment.
- Leading Manufacturers: Attendees will connect with prominent manufacturers such as Taylor Guitars, Quality Controlled Manufacturing Inc., Senior Aerospace Ketema, GKN Aerospace, and Competitive Metals. These companies will showcase their latest innovations and discuss career opportunities in the manufacturing sector.
- Educational and Business Resources: The expo will feature local educational institutions and career pathway programs designed to link students and job seekers directly to careers in manufacturing. These resources will help participants transition from education to the workforce.

This year’s theme, "Manufacturing Unveiled: Showcasing Innovation and Careers," highlights the journey from concept to creation, as manufacturers exhibit their products and demonstrate the diverse career paths within the industry.
