It's been a long time since I've enjoyed some live entertainment on purpose! Going out for dinner and a show seems a thing of the past for many, but we are blessed with a winter that often requires only the addition of closed-toe shoes and a sweater. I was especially thankful for these bearable winter nights on this past Sunday as I was invited back to the darling Off Broadway Live. I caught the Fleetwood Mac edition of their Encore Supper Club with my mom in their outdoor theater (full with barriers between guest, heaters and excellent service).
Somewhere between their take on Rhiannon and Gypsy, I actually caught myself with tears in my eyes. For those wondering, YES, it was that good! But because it was so good, it gave me a glimpse into the hope that lays on the horizon. I know that a year into this pandemic, we still have so much ahead that will return to us and I refuse to take any of it for granted. Steve, Jennifer and their amazing team at OBL have turned their situation from bad to just flat out impressive, with talent and passion proving that they will not only see their business through this time, but come out better than before.
Thank you to the Rolfs for hosting me during an enchanting evening I needed more than I knew!
