• Santee Chamber Weekly Update 3NOV22

  • Hello Santee!

I’m a tad late on this, now that Halloween has passed and November has begun, but I had to give a quick note of gratitude to see the Santee Twilight Brews & Bites Festival come back this year. For those of you confused on what this event is, maybe you remember it as the “Bluegrass Festival” last held in 2019. Santee Twilight Brews and Bites Festival has participants take part in an evening filled with fine wines, a bevy of brews, tasty treats, bidding bazaar and live music. Your event ticket includes an unlimited amount of food and beverage samples (while they last) and a commemorative sampling cup.

A wide variety of businesses, wineries, breweries and restaurants help support this event and for those who don’t realize, it’s actually a fundraiser! Although the City of Santee staffs this event, funds raised go to the Santee Park and Recreation Committee (SPARC) and benefit the Santee Teen Center, park improvement projects, and the Recreation Scholarship Program which provides financial assistance to qualifying Santee children, teens and seniors to take part in City recreation programs. Learn more about SPARC on the City’s website HERE or attend one of their public meetings, held at City Hall on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30pm.
