Hello Santee!

How many of you noticed our skies full of practice flights last week as preparation was underway for the 2022 MCAS Miramar Air Show? Or better yet, maybe you made it over to the base and experienced the fun firsthand at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. For me, I was one of the lucky guests in attendance alongside Santee Chamber Director, and President of the East County EDC, James Sly. We were grateful to be hosted by business and community partner, Cox Communications as guests of Allen Young, Manager of Government Affairs. 

It's been several years since I’ve been in attendance at one of these airshows and what a disservice I’ve done to myself and family by sitting out for any period of time. My Navy Vet father used to take our family to this show annually and it was so fun to have the same childlike excitement still when seeing the Blue Angels take flight. Living in San Diego (home over 15,000 servicemembers) gives many a huge sense of military pride.
