This city is full of amazing business women and I am so thankful I have many in our chamber family. One in particular is Sarah Wood, owner of Allegiance Heating & Air. Sarah is a Santee native who took a family loss and allowed it to change the trajectory of her entire future. She took on her father’s business with zero experience in that field, modernized their business model, became an industry leader and eventually grew her business so successfully, it allowed her to purchase a second company to compliment her heating and air services.
Sarah’s role in our community is just as great as that in her contracting field. You have most likely seen her company at any community event you’ve attended in town. She makes it a priority to give back to the community that has given her so much, and she even expands that into our East County region. Last week she sponsored a table at East County Chamber’s Women in Leadership Luncheon and was generous enough to include some of our Chamber staff along with fellow Chamber Director, James Sly of the East County Economic Development Council. Spending the day with her, her oldest daughter and the rest of her guests celebrating women leaders in San Diego county was the perfect way to end our week! Thank you again, Sarah!
