• Santee Chamber Weekly Update 01DEC22

  • Hello Santee!

Welcome to the final month of 2022. We spent this Giving Tuesday among some of our favorite company, our non-profit members who serve our community with great purpose. Lantern Crest was the most generous host for our annual Taste of Santee where we welcomed the restaurant community and community partners to share in an evening of celebration as we jump into the holidays.

As the final days of the year approach and we look at the season ahead, I encourage you to get to know some of these organizations and find where you can fit in. Maybe it's donating to Darby's Dancers via Expressions Dance & Movement Center and give the gift of dance to a child, or the Santee Santas who assist over 200 families for the holidays, or the Santee Food Bank, who has already served over 27,000 people this calendar year (wow!), or you're interested in joining a service organization like the Santee-Lakeside Rotary Club or the Kiwanis Club, both who offer a multitude of involvement throughout the year. These are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to ways to give back to our hometown. Or, you can be like Charlie (pictured) who just seems to be the volunteer we all love and need, regardless of the cause!
