    Hello Santee!
This version of our Weekly Update is coming in a tad early, due to tomorrow’s holiday. As a reminder, our office will be closed Thursday and Friday of this week as we take some time off to enjoy our independence! As I get geared up for Independence Day, I start to think about how we are so blessed with freedoms others will never know. I know it’s easy to get sucked into the political rants on social media, but for now, I just want to be thankful and surround myself with those who appreciate America for all her glory and take pride in being an American. I really do LOVE THIS COUNTRY.

One of those people for me is Clint August. Some may know him as our annual Santee Street Fair host, or a radio personality for KGB. For me, he is a friend who loves his country, respects those who serve (or who have served) and never stops looking for ways to help his fellow neighbors. He is one of the most patriotic people you will ever encounter, and I was so pleased my husband and I went to celebrate him this weekend at Pacific Islander Brewing. We met Clint and his wife Kristy when our oldest kids started preschool together atGuardian Angels Church. The boys were instant buddies and getting to know their family and have their friendships over the past decade+ has enriched our lives in so many ways. I encourage all of you to reflect on our freedoms granted in this beautiful country of ours and surround yourself this holiday with the people you care for the most.
