Yesterday I was invited to join a video call with several other East County chamber executives. Although we too have "Zoom fatigue" and are eager to meet in person, I always feel recharged being in the presence of those who share my line of work. With some hope on the horizon for the pandemic to be nearing its end, we know economic recovery is still years beyond us. As a region, it is more important than ever to band together and build our business community back up and I am so thankful for the open dialogue with neighboring chambers who understand the importance of our business community and the impact it has on our quality of life.
Speaking of strength in numbers, the Santee Chamber along with over 150 other business organizations and chambers in California, banded together to call for action from state leaders yesterday. CalChamber lead the charge to urge Governor Newsome and member of the legislature to temporarily suspend several laws/regulations on business and to enact new policies in 2021 which will assist with economic recovery.
