The last day to donate whole blood before our event is September 4th.\n\nBook your appointment online at www.RedCrossBlood.org using code: CityofSantee or by clicking HERE\n\n \n\n \n\nResources:\n\n\n Common Donation Questions\n Rapid Pass\n Power Red\n\n\n \n\nFun Red Cross donation facts:\n\n\n Each donation can impact up to 3 patient lives!\n Donors who download the Red Cross Blood Donor app can follow their donation journey from the blood drive to the patient hospital!\n Every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood and or platelets\n Donors will learn their blood type and receive mini-physical which includes temperature\, iron level\, blood pressure and pulse check\n Donors who have eligibility questions can go to: https://www.redcrossblood.org/donate-blood/how-to-donate/eligibility-requirements/eligibility-criteria-alphabetical.html\n American Red Cross has also expanded our testing to include sickle cell trait screening on all donations from self-identified black donors. This additional screening will help the Red Cross identify compatible blood types more quickly to help sickle cell patients and provide our Black donors an additional health insight during a time when health information has never been more important.\n American Red Cross generally has incentives running monthly to help incentivize donor participation (everything from Red Cross t-shirts\, to Amazon gift cards\, trip giveaways\, theme park tickets\, etc!)
